Flat Tires, Fire Trucks and Beyond The Call
I wanted to take a moment to brag on Nathan Mazur even though you probably hear about his notable activities on a regular basis. Nathan was at our Liberty Park Station last week when he had to leave to get some parts for an unexpected problem with one of the trucks. It was later in the day, he did not expect to have to make the 45-minute trip to get the parts, and he still had a couple of hours of travel to get home after leaving Vestavia Hills. On the way back from the parts store Nathan stopped on Liberty Parkway and assisted a stranded motorist with changing a tire. I have not confirmed this but, I would not be surprised if he checked the brakes and topped off the oil as well. Although his truck does not say "Vestavia Hills Fire Department" I'm sure that act of kindness was associated with our fire department.
