The HydroSub 60 is a mobile pump unit driven by a powerful diesel engine with radiator cooling. It consists of a diesel-hydraulic power pack pump unit with a portable hydraulic driven submersible pump. Hytrans | HydroSub 60 | Hydraulically driven pump unit

    Design

The unit is compactly built in a skid-frame with light weight side panels and an anodized aluminium door.  The unit is mounted to a tandem axle flat deck trailer with tool boxes for equipment storage. Inside the frame there is a storage space for either the standard submersible pump or the optionally available Flood Pump, not included.

The submersible pump will not be affected by waves or shallow water levels. Even in cases where there is a risk of an airlock due to an air bubble, the pump will maintain its operation.

    Quick access to open water

The 30 meter hydraulic hose length guarantees access to almost all open waters without any capacity loss and has a reach up to 30 meter either vertical, horizontal or a combination of both.

    Hydraulic power for powerful performance

What sets Hytrans apart is our hydraulically driven submersible pump technology. These powerful pumps allow firefighters to draw water from sources far away, overcoming the limitations of conventional systems. By utilizing hydraulic power, our pumps maintain their capacity and efficiency, delivering continuous high-volume water supplies over long distances. This ensures that firefighters can focus on controlling the fire, knowing that their water supply will remain uninterrupted, even in extreme conditions.

    High-capacity dewatering systems

When floods threaten communities, emergency teams need powerful, rapidly deployable dewatering systems to take immediate action. Hytrans mobile water transport systems are engineered for high performance and fast deployment, becoming operational within minutes of arrival with minimal manpower. Unlike conventional suction pumps, Hytrans systems combine unmatched speed, capacity, mobility, and flexibility, ensuring a rapid response when every second counts.

Designed specifically for high-volume flood control, our innovative flood solutions integrate optimized Hytrans Flood Pumps—each capable of pumping 20,000 liters per minute (lpm). Including lightweight, dedicated Hytrans Flood Hoses to efficiently transfer water over the first water barrier, typically located nearby. Hytrans offers scalable solutions ranging from 20,000 lpm to 130,000 lpm (34,000 GPM), with the ability to deploy multiple systems simultaneously for even greater capacity when needed.

Continuous, nearby water supply in remote locations

Hytrans leverages hydraulically driven pumps to create a continuous, high-capacity water supply near the wildfire, eliminating the need for long-distance water refill runs. With an open or closed relay setup, our systems can transport water across tens of kilometers, even uphill, ensuring reliable access in the most remote and rugged terrains.

By bringing the water source closer, helicopters and ground vehicles can refill faster, drastically reducing travel times and increasing water supply rates. The result? Greater operational efficiency, faster wildfire suppression, and minimized damage — allowing response teams to act with speed and precision when every second counts.

    Capacity

    • Standard impeller: 1.500 lpm at 9,5 bar (400 GPM at 138 psi)
    • Hi-Flow impeller (optional): 4.000 lpm at 2,5 bar (1050 GPM at 35 psi)
    • Flood Pump (optional): 20.000 lpm at 0,3 bar (5300 GPM at 4.3 psi)

    Control instruments

    • Hytrans control system
    • Vital parameters are monitored and logged (e.g. oil pressure, oil temperature, fuel level, motor temperature, etc.)
    • Audible and visible alarms are generated when a parameter falls outside its setting
    • Machine status light, surround illumination and working light
    • Automatic water pressure regulation (option)

The HydroSub 60 can be used for:

    • Large scale firefighting
    • Flood control
    • Wildfire control
    • Dewatering
    • Emergency back up supply

Apparatus Information

  • This fire truck is a very new piece of apparatus, and rare on the used fire truck market today. Feel free to touch base with us to get the full history on this rig, and we will be glad to pass it along, but with minimal time passed since it was produced, this vehicle will have many years remaining to serve at its next fire department!
